Pacific Northwest Regional Meet, July 27-29, 2023, Victoria, BC Canada

How to book your room at the Coast Victoria Hotel and Marina.

A dedicated website is now available for our meet attendees to book their hotel rooms online. Reservations can be made any time

now at this web address:  https://book.passkey.com/e/50398411

You can also call and reserve and you MUST mention WPC Car Meet in July for the special rate. Call 1-800-716-6199

to get the room rate of $309.00 Canadian plus tax per night.

The Coast Hotel is at 146 Kingston St, Victoria, and is within 5 minutes from where the COHO Ferry docks in the

harbour. To all of you who are planning on attending, please book your room as soon as possible. We currently

have 20 rooms set aside, but we can and will block off more as needed as long as we don’t leave it too late. We

anticipate we will probably need another 15 to 20 rooms but it would be very helpful, if you are planning to join us,

please book early so we can get plan ahead to add rooms if needed. AND to our US visitors, please remember,

your card will be charged in Canadian funds of $309.00 but will be converted to US Funds and will be reflected on

your credit card statement. At the current exchange rate it works out to around $220.00 USD, but of course there is

no guarantee as to what the rates will be in July but we don’t anticipate a major change.

Here are the Tentative Events:

Thursday July 27th – Arrival at the Coast Hotel through the day. Enjoy some harbour area sightseeing for the

afternoon. There is a whole lot to see in the area, including the Legislative Buildings, the Inner Harbour,

Fisherman’s Wharf and more, all within walking distance from the hotel. We will Leave the host hotel at  5:00 PM for a car tour to the Torque Masters Clubhouse in Sidney.  Arriving at approx  6:15 for food, tour of the Clubhouse and vehicles on site. We will be having a BBQ of hot dogs & hamburgers, (a nominal price will be charged), followed by the ICE CREAM !!!! at no charge !

Friday July 28th Stroll among giants along the elevated Malahat Skywalk through a west coast forest of Arbutus

and Douglas Firs. Then ascend the striking 10-story spiral tower to take in the stunning 360-degree view of islands,

fjords, forests and mountains. NOTE: This is a very easy ascent up a gradual spiral walkway. After we leave

the Skywalk we will proceed to our lunch destination, the Cobblestone Pub, several miles further north. We will

order off the menu, and once lunch is done we will proceed on our second tour of the day, back down the Malahat

highway and over to the Esquimalt Lagoon on Ocean Boulevard, which has ocean on both sides of the roadway.

We will stop for a photo opportunity.

Saturday July 29th. Our Car Show will be at Windsor Park in Oak Bay from 10:00 AM until approx. 12:15 PM.

There will be a bag lunch for all who have registered. We will leave at 1:00 PM at the latest for our afternoon tour

out to Central Saanich to a fantastic collection of cars, never before seen by any of our members. There could

possibly be an alternative tour to Craigdarroch Castle if anyone is interested and if there is someone to lead the

tour. There is not enough time to fit in both tours, so we do recommend the car collection as the go-to tour.

The Saturday Evening Banquet will be held at the Oaks Restaurant on Oak Bay Avenue with Happy Hour at 5:30 PM

and dinner at 6:30 PM.   Entertainment will be provided after dinner. There is no set price as we will be ordering off the menu,

which is very reasonably priced with many choices. The restaurant will be closed to the public that evening. We will

see you all in Victoria, July 27-29th
